#Paid - APEX PR is Looking for an Account Director, Integrated Communications

APEX Public Relations, a fiercely independent, Canadian owned and operated agency, is looking for a motivated, entrepreneurial Account Director to join our Client Experience team in Toronto.  This is a hybrid role with both virtual and in-office requirements and reports to the Executive Vice President.

Role Description

 

The ideal candidate should have experience in brand and reputation building communications, managing executive visibility, media strategy and team leadership. The candidate will have the opportunity to drive a unique mix of clients supporting some of the leading industry brands across multiple industries, while leading a team of practitioners and collaborating with APEX PR/ruckus Digital’s network to develop strategic and creative client work.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

•       Managing a client’s business or portfolio of integrated accounts

•       Partnering with APEX team members to deliver integrated solutions, identify new business opportunities, scope of work and revenue

•       Immersing yourself in the essential dynamics, strategies, and drivers of your client’s business

•       Understanding the agency business model and identifying and utilizing all Agency capabilities to produce exceptional results for the client

•       Foreseeing opportunities and formulating plans to manage and exploit them to drive/extend the business

•       Putting clients first, interfacing regularly with all client levels and constantly hunting for solutions and big ideas that are innovative and relevant

•       Demonstrating strong collaboration skills with internal teams, using Agency resources to effectively and seamlessly support client’s business

•       Building strong, collaborative and trusted relationships with creative and strategic partners

•       Effectively navigating teams when there are conflicting priorities

•       Coaching, involving and inspiring the growth and development of junior Agency staff via providing consistent feedback, training and growth opportunities

•       Acting as an open and willing resource to team members in assessing ideas and directions, and providing guidance to push further

•       Monitoring and communicating POV on current marketing and industry issues

•       Demonstrating responsibility and accountability for overall agency performance and flawless delivery

 

You have:

 

•       8-10 years public relations experience, consumer PR background desired; digital understanding an asset with supervisory and new business experience

•       Experience working on consumer-focused brand campaigns across various industries

•       You are both a creative and a strategic thinker, and a natural team leader

•       Needs to have a track record in client service to senior level clients

•       Strategic media relations knowledge

•       Strong communication skills, particularly with oral presentations

•       Insatiably curious, a lifelong learner

•       Authentically passionate about great work, your team and our business

•       Diplomatic and empathetic leadership

•       A good listener, someone who reads people and those in a room well (and adapts their style and response accordingly)

•       Salary band for this position is $100-$130,000 plus competitive benefit package (including annual bonus, health spending account, wellness account, floater days, annual retreat to name a few)
